Aspen Mirror Lake is one of the most heavily used recreation areas in the Upper Sevier Watershed. Located near numerous privately-owned subdivisions and Duck Creek campground, this shallow, picturesque lake is surrounded by large ponderosa and aspen stands and is stocked seasonally with catchable rainbow trout. Interestingly, several miles after Duck Creek flows out of Aspen Mirror Lake, the creek disappears into “sink holes” and the stream continues its’ course underground, emerging once again in various places throughout the area. A newly built vehicle and ATV parking lot, rerouted ATV trail, and restrooms will greatly improve water quality in this portion of the watershed.
