  Aspen are an important component of the Upper Sevier Watershed, providing habitat and forage for livestock and wildlife, stabilizing soils and creating scenic vistas throughout the area. However, resource personnel estimate that aspen have declined by as much as 60% in some areas. Restoring historical aspen stands, and analyzing vegetation changes will be an integral part of the Upper Sevier River Community Watershed Project. |
