Remnants of ancient volcanic activity and Claron hoodoo formations can be seen in the Hunt Creek area, and despite its remoteness, some hiking and dispersed camping is available.
Recently the Sanford Fire has removed much of the old growth near this area, providing renewed opportunities for forest rebirth and resource improvement.
