Meadows are beautiful to look at and support a variety of natural communities. In fact, in one meadow complex there may be as many as 18 different species of solitary bees, pollinating the diverse wildflowers. Roads through existing meadows are not only illegal, but they increase erosion and are unsightly. Oftentimes, motorists may unintentionally carry undesired plants from other areas into the meadow, and the already disturbed ground is a perfect place for these introduced species to propagate.
