In the mid-1990's wildlife managers reintroduced native Bonneville cutthroat trout to Three Mile Creek and installed a cement barrier near the Forest Service boundary to keep non-native fish from the area. Today, surveys show that these efforts have paid off, and native cutthroat trout are found throughout the drainage once again. In addition, leatherside chub, a nongame 'Utah Species of Special Concern' is also found within the Three Mile Creek area.
