Black Canyon Channel Stabilization 2

Sometimes even the best laid plans go awry! High runoff during 2000 necessitated that some work completed during 1999 be redone, and additional rock structures and streambank stabilization was attempted in 2001. Officials sloped the streambanks to help prevent vertical erosion and then placed whole root logs and a coconut-mesh fabric to temporarily anchor the soil until native plants can re-establish.
