Emergency Rehab Needed

In most fire situations, burned areas are left to revegetate on their own. However, sometimes it is necessary to interfere in the interim. In a high-intensity burn area, little or no litter remains on the surface and sometimes the soil can actually act as a repellent to water, increasing the risk of extreme erosion. To help alleviate this, short-term emergency rehab efforts such as placing erosion control barriers or planting seed can help until new plants are established.
