Mt. Dutton

Burned and unburned areas, as well as beetle-killed trees, can be seen from this scenic point along the Cottonwood Road. From a human perspective, these events seem larger than life, and not a part of our “desired” environment. However, looking out over this vast area, it is important to remember that the world we enjoy today was formed over millions of years, probably as a result of similar-type events.
